Will Jacobs debuted his solo effort Trees Are Angels (TAA) upon the release of A Weekend of Rekindling in February 2018. With accompanying soundscapes and haunting string sections, his piano-driven music evokes a similar melancholy to that of Nick Drake's oeuvre. Jacobs's ethereal vocals are congruous with the warm, textural qualities of his upright and brim with spiritual yearning. Somewhere between lyrical and psalmic, Trees Are Angels calls attention to the dilemma of the modern epoch.
